Named as the President of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation in July 2021, Jonas has a wealth of experience working throughout the State of Texas leading successful economic development organizations.

Prior to joining VEDC, Titas led the reorganized Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation where he worked closely with the Department of Defense and municipal leaders on transformative and generational projects for the Central Texas Region that have spurred significant population growth.

From 2015 to 2018, Titas was the Director for Manufacturing and Logistics for the Greater Houston Partnership. He was tasked with bringing together numerous local and regional partners to facilitate large, complex projects.

Before that, Titas was Executive Director for the Kerr Economic Development Corporation. In 2015, Kerrville won the 2015 Texas Economic Development Council’s Community Economic Development Award, based on work to establish large production facilities in Kerr County. He also spent 6 years with the Tyler Economic Development Council.

Titas has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Geography, Government/International Studies & History from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler, is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at Oklahoma University and is a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council. Jonas and his wife, Lessly, welcomed their first child, Petras, in 2021 and have a rescue dog, Harvey.
