The company is one of fewer than 10 companies in the U.S. and Canada that have an American Society of Mechanical Engineers Reinforced Thermoset Plastic Corrosion-Resistant Equipment Certification and they recently shipped two newly fabricated 21½-foot fiberglass containers from the Port of Victoria, confirming the local manufacturer has not only returned but surpassed previous production milestones.

President

D. Dale Fowler, CEcD

Dale brings more than 34 years’ experience of customer service in economic and community development, including 17 years at American Electric Power to his position of President of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation.  He is a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute, and holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in business and marketing. Dale lends his leadership skills to the Texas Economic Development Council where he serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. His extensive background in the utilities market allows him to provide valuable insight to prospective and current businesses. Dale maintains a quick pulse on the local and state governments, keeping abreast of the climate for business development.


Vice President of Marketing

Jeff's ability to assist new and existing businesses with their development projects as Vice President of Marketing of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation is enhanced by more than 25 years of experience in profitable business management. His strategic and innovative leadership in the media and broadcasting industry provides him the acumen to attract new industry to the area through marketing efforts. A graduate of New Mexico State University, Jeff’s ability to develop and maintain civic and political relationships on the local, state, and federal levels gives clients a valuable perspective as they consider investing in our community.


Operations Director

Sharon has more than 19 years of non-profit leadership experience including ten years at the Victoria Economic Development Corporation as Operations Director. Her service-minded attitude reflects the business friendly environment of VEDC, and her in-depth knowledge of community assets and attention to detail compliment her discernment for economic development. Sharon is a native Victorian, and is eager to assist prospective industry business leaders with the tools they need to find the right formula for success in our community.


Office Manager

Danielle Alvarez

Danielle joined the Victoria Economic Development Corporation team in April 2018 when she confidently stepped into the role of Office Manager bringing with her a background in accounting and customer service. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. As a native Victorian, Danielle conveys a strong sense of community as she communicates Victoria’s story to industry leaders, and coordinates a cohesive vision for the Corporation’s members to successfully execute the strategic plan and meet the goals of VEDC.
