TECH PREP PARTNERSHIP
Tech Prep Partnership is a perfect example of partnership between our local schools, government and industry!
The Golden Crescent Tech Prep Partnership is a partnership between Golden Crescent regional high schools, the Victoria College and area businesses. These groups gathered together and projected regional technical/professional work force demands. New curricula was designed that combine academic and technical skills. Known nationally as Two plus Two, Tech Prep programs include a six-year sequence of study beginning in 9th grade, progressing through at least two-years of college technical education leading to an associate degree or continuation to a four year degree. College courses are offered through area high schools through the Golden Crescent Tech Prep Program and The Victoria College. As a result of this partnership, students were able to leave school and immediately enter the workforce with the skills needed to get a well-paying job. Additionally, businesses have a steady stream of qualified workers to fill needed positions.
