The Port of Victoria turning basin area is situated on over 400 acres and is served by rail and 4 lane divided highways. A 350 foot transit dock and a new lighting system allow for 24 hour/7 day a week cargo operations. There are 20 mooring sites. Seventeen thousand sq. ft. of shed space and over 3 acres of improved ground storage areas are also available. Major products transferred are liquid and dry bulk, general and project cargos.
The Port has recently formed an Industrial Park with multi-modal access. The Park is located within a Free Trade Zone and a Texas Enterprise Zone. The Districts have the ability to "build to suit" and tailor a package specific to customer facility and transportation needs. The Port of Victoria is a center for the petro-chemical, construction, and steel fabrications industries and offers access to all transportation modes. In addition to almost doubling the size of the harbor, a 400 ft x 150 ft barge slip was added.
