On May 17, 2001, the Victoria Economic Development Corporation formally introduced the VEDC Business Expansion and Services Team (BEST) - a business expansion and retention program.

Powered by the Synchronist Business Information System software, this program allows VEDC to gather, organize, analyze and report strengths and weaknesses, give workforce evaluation, identify expansion opportunities and give community decision makers critical insight into the dynamics of the local economy. Information is gathered through on-site visits and interviews.

The VEDC BEST program allows us to learn more about our local industry, their concerns, their opportunities for growth and helps us to strengthen this valuable economic partnership.
