All economic indicators point to a bright future for the Victoria economy. Skilled workers, an ample labor force, in-place job training programs and a strong work ethic meet prospective companies when they enter the Victoria market. Regional employers boast that our local plants are the most productive within their corporate families.
Texas is a right-to-work state. Low union employment is reported in the Golden Crescent region which is comprised of Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca and Victoria counties. Victoria draws employees from this 50-mile radius.
One of the Golden Crescent area's greatest strengths is its diversity of industry. From education to healthcare to industry, it is by our diversity Victoria’s economy remains strong and vibrant as we attract new businesses and industry to our area.
